Our parking marshals are deployed daily to man the streets and serve customers. It is a requirement of the City of Harare parking by-laws that all vehicles that park in designated bays must display valid parking ticket obtained from the parking marshals or virtual tickets issued on our self-service payment platforms after payment of the requisite parking fees which currently stands at $1 per hour equivalent at official rate
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) System
It automatically detects, read, and record vehicle license plates in real-time using vehicle-mounted mobile cameras for parking management
Apart from on-street parking management, City Parking manages two parkades and two parking lots. The facilities are open to both corporates and individuals for your safe, secure and affordable parking. The giant Samora Machel Parkade is located along Samora Machel Avenue between First Street and Sam Munjoma Street. Julius Nyerere Parkade is located at the centre of Harare CBD along Julius Nyerere Way. The two parking lots are namely Simon Muzenda Parking Lot and Rufaro Stadium Parking lot.
Senior Citizens and War Veterans Exemption
Eligibility Requirements
Proof of residence in Harare.
Vehicle registration book registered in the beneficiary’s name.
Beneficiary must be a licensed driver.
For Senior Citizens, one should have turned 70 years by the date of application.
War Veterans must provide a valid War Veterans ID.
Terms and Conditions
This is not applicable to commercial vehicles, vehicles not for private use or vehicles not being used by the beneficiary.
One motor vehicle per beneficiary.
Valid for one calendar year and renewed annually upon application
War Veterans and Senior Citizens who meet the above criteria are invited to apply for the exemption at our City Parking offices at 3rd Floor Trafalgar Court, Julius Nyerere Way. Please bring all required documents for verification.
